Obituary for Luhenri Keener

Luhenri Keener, 69, of Hot Springs, was born November 11, 1948. On June 15, 2018 she was escorted through the gates of Heaven by her parents; Jake Earl, and Edna Duncan. She was greeted by her sister, Gladys Henry; her brother, Anthony Duncan; mother and father- in- law, Reece and Ramos Keener.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband of 51 years, Bobby J. Keener; daughters Diana Hobby, Bartlett, TN., and Dana Keener of Magnet Cove; grandchildren, Corbin T. Hobby, Austin L. Hobby, Jack R. McClaran and Abigail Josephine McClaran (Dana Keener and Brian McClaran); sons-in-law, Gregg Hobby and Steve Maniez; a sister, Bonita Kennedy, wife of Edward, of Hot Springs; and brother, David Duncan, of Hot Springs. Lu will be missed by her fur baby, Petey; many nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

Lu was a Godly woman, who used her life as an example of strength, compassion, but mostly love. She was a fighter, teaching her daughters how to be strong women; and a giver, modelling compassion. She enjoyed cooking; she often referred to it as her mission in life to feed others. Everything that Lu did in this life was for the benefit of someone else. She was truly selfless, giving, and generous.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. A celebration of Lu’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Mountain Valley Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Corbin Hobby, Austin Hobby, Jack McClaran, Dennis Henry, Tim Duncan, John David Duncan, Carl Keener, and Walter Keener.
