Obituary for Joyce Faye Merriott

Joyce Faye Merriott, 90, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away February 9, 2019. She was born December 25, 1928, in Brinkman, Oklahoma, to Addie Mae and Charlie M. Dodson. Joyce was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and retired as a nursing aide with Levi Hospital after 20 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 62 years, Melvin Eugene Merriott; daughter, Sharon Faye King; and brother, Charles Dodson, Sr.

Survivors include granddaughter, Nancy Sue Miller (David); nephews, Chuck Dodson, Kelly Dodson; her beloved dog, Odie; and grandpup, Gia.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

A celebration of Joyce’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Joyce’s caretakers, Melanie Cross, Frances Young, Margaret Gibson Johnson, and Arkansas Hospice.
