Obituary for Billy Wayne Antley

Billy (Bill) Wayne Antley, 70, of Hot Springs Village, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2018. He was born in Lake Wales, Fl., to William Hubert Antley and Doshie Grace Hughes Antley. He was preceded in death by his father William, mother Grace McCracken and son William Thomas Antley.

Bill grew up in Florida and attended Winter Haven H.S. before joining the U.S. Navy. After the navy he worked in the electronics field in Lakeland, Fl., before moving to Nebraska with his wife Marilyn. He retired in 2010 after working as a Projects Manager in the biomedical field at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

In 2014 Bill and Marilyn retired to Hot Springs Village, Ark., where Bill enjoyed fishing, gardening and stargazing. The most important thing in Bill’s life was his family and close friends.

Bill is survived by his wife Marilyn Antley of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; daughters Belinda Gootgeld, Erin Payne (Jim), and Marinda Antley of Omaha, Nebr., Katelin Antley of Conway, Ark.; brother Charles Antley of Lake Wales, FL; sister Judy Tullar of Clyde, NC; stepfather Tom McCracken of Winter Haven, Fl.; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill’s memorial service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, November 12, at Village United Methodist Church at 200 Carmona Rd., Hot Springs Village with Pastor Chris Hemund officiating. Bill’s ashes will rest at the Omaha National Cemetery in Sarpy County, Nebraska.
