Obituary for Manley Christopher "Chris" Beasley

Manley Christopher “Chris” Beasley, 40, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away August 26, 2018. He was born March 14, 1978, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Manley Beasley, Jr. and Shirleen (Scroggins) Beasley.

Chris was a follower of Christ, a preacher of the Gospel and somewhat of a theologian. He loved his Lord and was not bashful with his witness.

He enjoyed sports particularly the Dallas Cowboys and the Arkansas Razorbacks . He loved studying and teaching on many subjects and was an avid history buff. Scripture was his greatest passion. He considered debating (just about anything) entertainment, and was a fan of good comedy. He was an excellent guitarist and gifted vocalist.

There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with family and friends.

He is greatly loved and will be sorely missed.

Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Manley Beasley, Sr. and Marthe; and maternal grandfather, Kenneth R. Scroggins, Sr.

Survivors include his parents, Manley and Shirleen Beasley of Pearcy; sister, Amber Goff (Hunter) of Little Rock; maternal grandmother, Dorothy June Scroggins; nephews, Shepherd and Thatcher Goff; and niece, Adalee Goff.

A celebration of Chris’ life will be on September 8th, at 1:00 p.m. at Hot Springs Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to While We're Waiting Ministries.
