Obituary for Jeffrey Scott Snyder

Jeffrey Scott Snyder, 48, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord and his loved ones on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. He was originally from Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1988. He put up a fight and everything just wasn't going in our favor to keep him on earth. The Lord needed him to come home. He was a very good man and I have never had a man love me as much as he did. I am so grateful for God to put us in each other's path. For us to find the kind of true, unconditional love for each other is so special. He loved his daughters, blood or not, he loved them the same. There is not or will never be another man like him. His friends loved him. He worked hard and played hard. Both his feet stood on solid ground and he taught the right and fair way. He could make you laugh so hard with his funny sayings like "shut your tooth" and many more.

Jeff was a roofer by trade and a darn good one. He could out work men 25 years younger than he, every day of the week. He taught you and never asked someone to do more than he would do himself. He was a protector of his family and friends. I know with all my heart that he loved me and he treated me like a princess and a queen. I love him so much and I depended on him so much.

He is survived by his fiancé of many years, Traci Winters, his daughters, Megan Reed, 22, Vayda Engel, 15, and Autumn WInters Snyder, 22, his parents, Randy and Susan Snyder, his sister, Jen Snyder Miller (Billy), and his nephew, Cohen Miller.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, May 24 at Oaklawn Chapel. All are welcome and encouraged to join us.
