Obituary for Vernice Hill

Vernice Hill, 88, of Royal, Arkansas, passed peacefully on December 20, 2018. He was born July 22, 1930, to Epp and Anna Mae Hill. Vernice was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clyde, Pete, Freeman; and sister, Rosa Orrell.

Vernice retired from Coca-Cola after 40 years. He also served two years in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Flora Mae; children, Debbie Johnson (Steve), Rick Hill (Lorra), Diane Wacaster (Ron); Jackie Hill (Kathy); grandchildren, Stephanie, Lisa, Nicole, Spencer, Logan, Samantha, Kimberly, Sam, Hayley, Jessica, Jacob; great-grandchildren, Glacier, Jade, Carson, Olivia, Mattox, Raelynn, Jett, Gwyneth, Piper; and sister, Alice Powell.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with a celebration of his life immediately following at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will follow at Lowe Cemetery.

Pallbearers include his grandsons and great-grandsons; Spencer, Logan, Max, Ronnie, Glacier, Jade, and Carson.

Honorary pallbearers are Trip Lyell, Terral Young, Charlie Halter, Tommy Reed, Dr. William Cole, and all former Coca-Cola employees.
