Obituary for Susan Alm Bethea

Susan Alm Bethea, 56, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas died of natural causes at home on January 11th, 2019.

Sue was born August 18, 1962 to James Alm and Janis Neil in Two Harbors, Minnesota. She was raised in Two Harbors and graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1980. Sue earned a degree in social work, but her primary work was as a caregiver in various settings, including home health services, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and as a private duty aide. She had a big heart and loved caring for others. Sue lived in various states as she traveled through life. Wisconsin, South Carolina, California, Texas, and Arkansas were all places she called home.

Sue was preceded in death by her father James Alm, and step-father Eugene Neil. She is survived by her husband, Scott Olson of Hot Springs Village, his children Jonathan and Amber, her son Michael (Nicole), and granddaughter Adora of Belton, Texas, mother Janis Neil of Henderson, Nevada, step-mother Jan Marker Alm of Two Harbors, brother Brad (Debbie) of Two Harbors, brother Brian (Carolyn) of Spokane, WA, AFS brother Christoph Leupold of Zurich, Switzerland, uncle Steve (Diane) Alm, cousins Chris and Jennifer, and step-siblings, Bette, Warren, Kathy, Nancy, Marcy, Mary, Kurt, Jeff, and Lisa, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019.
