Don (DB) Fentress, age 86 of Hot Springs Village passed away on August 25, 2018. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on April 27, 1932 to Harlan and Eleanor Frentress.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of nearly 60 years, Dorothy and brother, Bob Frentress. Survivors include his three children; Diane Berg (Carl) of Hot Springs Village, AR, David Frentress (Carmen) of Camas. WA, and Doug Frentress of Hot Springs Village, AR, and three grandchildren.
Don graduated from Omaha’s Benson High School and Iowa State University. He became an Air Force Officer serving out of the SAC base in Omaha and married Dorothy Dilworth in 1954. After his military service, Don was a District Traffic Manager at Northwestern Bell and AT&T, beginning his career in 1957 in Minneapolis, MN moving then to St. Cloud, MN and finally ending up in Fargo, ND from 1963-1986.
Don and Dorothy moved to Hot Springs Village in 1986 to enjoy retirement in their newly built home. They loved spending many summers in their cabin in Kenora, Ontario, Canada on Willard Lake. Don was a faithful husband to Dorothy for almost 60 years, a loving and guiding father to his children and grandchildren. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts, Elks Club and the Exchange Club. He was an active member of his church, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Hot Springs Village.
Father Neil Kaminiski officiated a Memorial Service held on Friday, August 31 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Hot Springs Village.
