Obituary for Carolyn Sue Wilson

Carolyn Sue Wilson passed away peacefully on Nov. 23, 2018, in hospice at CHI St. Vincent, in Hot Springs, after suffering a stroke. She was born on August 28, 1946 and is predeceased by her parents Alma Holt and Clarence Wilson.

Carolyn is survived by her sister Mary Jo Wilson Elliott and two nephews, Bradford and Bailey (Jr.) Elliott, as well as five grand nephews, all of Austin, Tex.

Always filled with a fun sense of humor, Carolyn was affectionately known as “Kevin” to her high school friends, “Juggle” to her friends’ children, and “Nini” to her nephews.

Carolyn graduated from Hot Springs High School in the class of 1964 along with Bill Clinton. She attended William Woods University and holds a degree in biology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She was a member of ADPi sorority. She trained as an inhalation therapist and worked at MD Andersen in Houston. She returned to Hot Springs in 1986 to run her parents’ furniture store, J.A. Wilson & Sons, a multi-generation business. When she sold the store, she entered the real estate business with ERA Rushing McAdams Polychron Realtors. She continued to be active in the community.

She adored all of her dogs and would be pleased to know that memorials can be made to the Humane Society of Garland County, P.O. Box 1484, Hot Springs, AR 71902.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
