Karen Schaber, 41, of Hot Springs passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012. She was born February 9, 1971 in Roseburg, Oregon.
Karen was a supervisor with the U.S. Forest Service at the Jessieville office. She was an accomplished photographer having some of her work published. Karen was funny and outspoken and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was also a dog collector taking in stray animals – mostly yellow labs. Karen was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Loving survivors include her husband, Tony Schaber of Hot Springs; daughter, Alexis Hagen of Hot Springs; parents, Chuck and Fran Theos of Memphis, Tennessee; brothers, Richie Cloyd of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Charles (Jennifer) Theos of Kingston, Arkansas and Greg Theos of Florida; and sisters, Jackie Cloyd of California and Sonya Hohl of Virginia. Karen is also survived by her seven canine children: Max, Jackson, Indiana, Greta, Sasha, Bella and Daphne.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Caruth Village Funeral Home Chapel with Stacy Sanders officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral Home.
