Life Legacy

Mark Krish Patterson, 62, of Hot Springs died March 13, 2012. He was born December 5, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas to William M. and Barbara K. Patterson.

In Hastings, NE, he was a Master Counselor of DeMolay, distinguishing himself by memorizing the Flower Talk. After graduating from Hastings High School, he attended The University of Nebraska. He then moved to San Antonio, TX where he was a volunteer firefighter for Olmos Park and worked at Allegre Interiors as an apprentice in the design field. Following his completion with the New York School of Interior Design, he started Facade Furniture-MKP Interiors. In addition to his work being featured in Architectural Digest, one of his original pieces can also be seen in the motion picture "Three Men and a Little Lady". In 1990 he moved to Hot Springs with his partner Alan Phillips continuing to provide design services to clients nationally.

He is preceded in death by his mother and survived by his father William M. (Evelyn) Patterson of Huntly, IL, siblings; Cheryl (David) Taylor of Estes Park, CO, Lee William Patterson of Houston, TX, Jill (Patrick) Bartel of Wheaton, IL; seven nieces and nephews: Leigh Taylor (Rocco) Calandruccio, Adam (Courtney) Bartel, Laura Taylor (Shawn) Finer, Amy Bartel, Blake Patterson, Allison Bartel, and Brett (Agneshka) Patterson; two grand-nieces: Ava Sophia Calandruccio and Elsie Marie Bartel; and one grand-nephew Reid William Finer.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 17 at 2:00 P.M. at Caruth-Hale funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Arkansas Hospice.
