Elwyn Perdue (84) of Jessieville Arkansas died Friday, December 12, 2008 at home.
Elwyn was born November 13, 1924 in Fennon, Texas to John Franklin and Jessie Clementine (Hitch) Perdue. He served in the Navy in both WWII and the Korean War. He most recently was employed in both sales and instruction in the Air Condition business, and was a retired Jessieville Volunteer Fire Department Chief.
He is predeceased by his parents, his sister Glenda Simms, his brother Eldon Perdue, and his brother Donny Ray Perdue.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen Perdue of Jessieville Arkansas; his son Dennis Elwyn Perdue of Lano, Louisiana; his daughters Carol Lee Foreman of Halton City, Texas, Carol Sidfrid and husband Arthur of Jessieville, Arkansas, Hazel Purvis and Frank Honeycutt of Pearcy Arkansas; sister Elba Boggs of Grandbury, Texas, eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of the Jessieville Volunteer Fire Department.
Family will gather at 2:00 p.m. at Community Baptist Church Sunday, December 14, 2008 for visitation. Service will immediately follow at Community Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m., with Brother Gene Anderson officiating.
