William R. Irwin, 79, of Hot Springs, passed away June 30, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. Lovingly known as “Buzz, he was born March 7, 1939 to W.C. “Bill” and Mary Irwin.
He is predeceased by his father, mother and brothers, Johnnie Joe, Charles Ray “Chod” and Sam Irwin.
Buzz is survived by his wife of 58 years, Suzi (Caruth), his son, Bob (Janet) Irwin, his daughter Holly (Danny) Fincher, two brothers, W.C. Irwin, Jr. and Jack Irwin, two sisters, Mary Sue Lane and Lucy (Doyle) Cavnor, four grandchildren, Will Irwin, Nic (Mary Beth) Fincher, Chris (Blair) Fincher and Anna Irwin. Buzz will be remembered as a very generous caring person who never met a stranger. His smile and his sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. He was loved by family and friends, but loved best by Suzi.
Buzz had many interests. He was owner/operator of Irwin Coin Machines and Gentry Vending since 1968. He was involved, as owner, in retail sales with 1010 Liquor and The Ritz Club, and original owner of City Bail Bonds and Tobacco City which he founded in 1988. In 2000, his Camp David on Bull Bayou was established, where he and his friends would spend many enjoyable times.
A special thank you to Dr. Scott Anderson and Dr. Neeraj Bharany; he knew you always had his best interest at heart.
