Obituary for Warren John Brown, Jr.

Warren John Brown, Jr., loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, brother, and dear friend, passed away March 6, 2018 at his home at the age of 76. Warren was born June 10, 1941, in Oak Park, Illinois where he graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School. He then went on to attend Miami University (Ohio) and Northwestern University (Illinois).

After graduation and at the start of his successful career spanning many years selling men’s apparel, Warren met his lovely wife Janice Fisher. This was the beginning of a marriage that would span 54 years. During their marriage, Warren and Janice moved to various suburbs of Chicago, but finally made Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri their home for 32 years. After retirement, Warren and Janice decided to make Hot Springs Village, Arkansas their home for the past 8 years.

He leaves behind to treasure his memory; his wife Janice, daughter Elizabeth “Liz” Brown, son Christopher “Chris” Brown (Lynell), granddaughters Macey, Morgan, and Madison, sister Nancy Whipple of Martha’s Vineyard, sister Louise Miller (John) of Houston, and a host of cherished friends and colleagues.

Warren is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Smith Brown, father Warren John Brown, Sr., and brother Roger John Brown.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: Dogwood Animal Shelter, 1075 Runabout Dr. Osage Beach, MO 65065 or Ozarks Cat and Canine, 17290 MO-5 Sunrise Beach, MO 65079.
