Obituary for Rebecca Lynn Roe

Rebecca Lynn Roe, age 71 of Hot Springs Village, AR passed away on September 2, 2017. Becky was born in Creston, Iowa on October 4, 1945 to the late Earle Manning DeWitt and Virginia Edith (Shultz) DeWitt.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Bill Roe of Hot Springs Village, daughters; Shawndy Lynn Bartlett (Steven) of Minnesota, Laurie Beth Dunne (Sean) of Illinois, and Lana Michelle Ferren (Eric) of Illinois, a brother; Steve DeWitt of Missouri, a sister Sandria DeWitt of Missouri, grandchildren; Jesse William Pertl (Ana), Cory Louis Pertl, Kate Michelle Ferren, Leah Rebecca Ferren, Matthew Roe Ferren, Anna Roe Dunne, Connor Stafford Dunne, Nick Bradley Bartlett and Brandon James Bartlett.

There was nothing more precious to Becky than spending time with her family. She had a magnetic personality that enabled her to bond closely with her friends and loved ones. She enjoyed gardening and golf and always knew her way around the kitchen. Becky was an avid reader and loved movies and documentaries about history and the supernatural (ghost stories).

Becky was a very strong person having beat cancer 3 times before having been diagnosed a 4th time of cancer. One of Becky's many strengths, was that she valued her love for her many close friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, September 8 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hot Springs Village, with Father Bill Elser officiating.
