Obituary for Marsha Ann Oliver-King

Many of us entertained angels and are unaware. Some of us have lived with angels and we realize that the second of their departure. We lost our angel Marsha Ann Oliver-King on Wednesday May 10, 2017. Our angel lived her life serving others and has left to be with her Lord and Savior.

Marsha was born to Robert and Verlene Oliver on August 9th, 1961. Marsha attended Lakeside High School, then attended National Park Community College to complete her degree in Criminal Justice. Marsha worked in the legal field for many years, she served 25 years as the Garland County Law librarian. Marsha had a loving interest for history and genealogy, she is the current President of the Garland County Historical Society, a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, and a member of the Oma Community Church. Marsha helped many of people in her capacity as Law Librarian. Researching was her love and passion.

Marsha is survived by her husband of 37 years Ron M King, and her daughter Melissa Ann King. Her parents Robert and Verlene Oliver Jr, her baby brother and sister-in-law Jerry Don and Bridget Whelan-Oliver. In-laws Joan and Dan LaMaster, Brother-in-law’s Steve and Arlene King, John and Dawn King, Ted and Megan King. Sister-in law’s Janet King, Carole and James Tarvin. She also leaves behind many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and relatives.
All of Marsha’s family will miss her charm, grace, knowledge and loving spirit that cared for her entire family for all these years. All of Marsha’s friends, especially her long term friends, of which were many. Will mourn the passing of our beloved Marsha, and will cherish the precious moments and memories we shared together.

Our Angel has finished her race on this Earth, caring for all of us, and will now lay down her cares at the feet of her Master and Lord as he says “Welcome home my good and humble servant”.

Marsha taught us all to look at the clouds and flowers and to notice the majesty of the creation. We all loved you very much Marsha and will miss you. We will strive to remember what you taught us, to look for the good in everything, and above all love each other. Fly onward Princes you have earned your wings.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Irwin, Bret Guidroz, Carroll Anthony, Marc Hayes, Ted King, Steve King, Mark Weatherford, Mitch Weatherford. Honorary Pallbearers are James Wright, Joe Harrison, Curtis Weatherford, Lewis David Oliver and all those connected with the Garland County Judicial System

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with a service starting at 2:00 pm, Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rush Fork Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Garland County Historical Society.
