Margaret loved to reminisce about her days spent at Gardner School in South Hot Springs. She loved to tell how her father and the men of the community came together to build the first lunch room. Her first day of school, she was taken to a local radio station where she stood on a bucket to recite a poem. She attended Hot Springs High School.

Margaret was a homemaker and worked tirelessly canning food from the garden and sewing her children's clothes. She served as PTA president at Fountain Lake and was known to her children's classmates as "Momma Tillery." She loved to bake her special cake which the kids called “Momma Tillery Cake”.

Later years brought her to work at St Joseph's Hospital where she was trained as a Monitor Tech and retired after many good years with her co-workers in PCU-2.

Poetry was a very large part of Margaret's life as she wrote with a ready pen and published many poems in the Round Table Poetry Society. She daily enjoyed her paper and with coffee in hand, eagerly looking forward to the daily cross word puzzle.
