Obituary for Linda Kay Duggan

Linda Kay Duggan, age 75, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on March 22, 2018. Linda was born April 18, 1942 in West Plains, MO to Wayne and Helen Mitchell. She married her childhood sweetheart, Mike Duggan, on October 20, 1962. They moved to Oceanside, CA where Mike served in the military. After several transfers, they landed in Plano, Texas in 1975 where they raised 3 children. She worked for 22 years at Forman Elementary with children with special needs. She was also a long-time member of Meadows Baptist Church in Plano.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time with family, her cat, Lucy, traveling and camping in the RV, time at the lake, the beauty and nature of the Rocky Mountains and playing games with family and friends.

Linda is survived by her husband of 55 years, Mike Duggan; son Ken, his wife Ann and her son Austin; son, Marlon, his wife Stacia; daughter Michelle, her husband, Chuck Thomas and two grandsons, Tanner and Trevor Duggan. She is also survived by a brother, Dale Mitchell and wife Thelma, their daughter Stacy and husband Jeff Coiner and many nieces and nephews. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Helen Mitchell and niece Denise Mitchell Bean.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Balboa Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village, AR. A reception will be held at the church immediately following the service.
