Obituary for Kenneth (Kenny) Michael Klein

Kenneth Michael (Kenny) Klein, 74, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away on January 20, 2018 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born January 11, 1944, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Leo and Kathryn (Kramer) Klein.

Ken grew up in Strasburg, North Dakota. He was a gifted athlete and had a true passion for sports. He graduated from Strasburg High School in 1962.

Ken married the love of his life, Elaine (Senger) Klein in 1966. They raised their family in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where Ken was an active member of the community and enjoyed spending time with his 2 beloved sons by coaching sports and leading scouts.

Ken worked for Alan Bradley for many years. His career eventually led his family to Arlington, Texas and even Starnberg, Germany where he and Elaine spent several years. The couple relocated to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas to enjoy their retirement in 2007.

Kenny was a lover of life! He was an avid golfer who loved nature, his pets, and being outdoors. He was proud of his German-Russian heritage, never met a stranger, and was the first to help anyone in need. He took a special interest in being a role model for many young people. He especially enjoyed volunteering at a local school to help children with special needs. His kind spirit and giving heart left an impression on all who knew him.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Darlene Klein.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Elaine Klein; sons, Dean Klein (Allison) of Illinois, Dennis Klein (Cheryl) of Texas; brothers, Ron Klein, Lee Klein (Sharon) both of North Dakota; and five grandchildren: Andrew Klein (20), Katie Klein (18), Emily Klein (16), Jason Klein (14), and Will Klein (13).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to The Caring Place 101 Quapaw Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71901.
