Obituary for John Fox "Jack" Young

John Fox “Jack” Young, 84 of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away on October 15, 2017 following a brief illness.

Jack was born in Chickasaw County, MIssissippi on March 25, 1933. He graduated from Okolona High School. Jack was married to Myra Stephens Young on June 26, 1955 and was married just one month short of 50 wonderful years.

Jack retired from Okolona Community Hospital/Shearer Richardson Memorial Nursing Home after 23 years of faithful service. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with friends and family. Jack was actively involved as a member of Barcelona Road Baptist Church.

Jack is survived by his son, Leslie (Judy) Young; son, Keith (Christy) Young; son, Alan (Ellen) Young; grandchildren, John, Laura, Lizzie, Cailey and Emily. Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Myra Young (May 27, 2005); his parents Rubel and Alice Young and his sister Sara Lou Johnson.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association or Barcelona Road Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 17, 2017 at Barcelona Road Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village. Dr. Jon Stubblefield and Rev. Elton Gray of Barcelona Road Baptist Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 9:45am. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
