Evelyn “Eadie” Parsley, 95, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2017. She was born May 23, 1921 in El Dorado, to Roy and Ola Brown. Eadie was such a very special lady that will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Eadie was kind and considerate, always willing to help her neighbors. She was dependable and reliable always following through on whatever she was asked to do. Eadie was a devoted caregiver for her husband, Adrian “Pete” Parsley, during his long battle with cancer, caring for him at home until the end. She also took care of her mother and brother in their older years until they left this life. She was an animal lover, taking good care of her pets. In her later years, Eadie enjoyed working in her yard and garden.
She is predeceased by her parents, husband, Adrian “Pete” Parsley, two brothers, Algie Brown and Marvin Brown, and sister, Jean Doyle Tolle.
Loving survivors include nephew, Pete Doyle and wife, Gayle, of Hot Springs; nephew, Gene Brown, of Hot Springs; nephew, Keith Doyle and wife, Ginger, of Crescent City, California; and niece, Rosemary Hall of McAllister, Oklahoma.
A life celebration for Eadie will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Gallimore officiating.
An expression of special gratitude is extended to Jacquemae Gibson, her part-time caregiver during the time she lived with her nephew, Pete Doyle and his wife Gayle.
We will be forever be grateful to Next to Home Care owner, Gina Wimberly and her staff, Alyssa Caldwell, Amy Couch and Rose Beard; and to her Physical Therapist Dewey Crow. These were her full time caregivers until now. We couldn’t have asked for a more compassionate, caring and loving group of people. Arkansas Hospice also did an outstanding job in making Edie’s final days as pain free as possible.
