Obituary for Delores Jean Cotnam

Delores Jean Cotnam, 71, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away March 21, 2017. She was born March 6, 1946, in Dawson, Texas, to J.B. and Minnie (Mayo) Perkins. Jeanie and her husband, Wayne, were charter members of New Beginnings Free Will Baptist Church, where Jeanie served as secretary treasurer. She was a great cook, loved to laugh, and was always anxious to share her heartfelt opinions.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sue Franovick.

Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Wayne Cotnam; sons, Benny Ray Sandlin (Tawana), Anthony Cherone (Angie); step-son, Clint Cotnam; daughters, Ralonda Bugos, Michelle Cherone Cook (Scott); step-daughters, Stacey Shay, Daphne Wheaton (David), Valerie Tignor; siblings, Eugene Perkins, Allene Wardin, Alice Baker (Bob), A.B. Perkins, Larry Perkins (Grace), Linda Berry (Rick), James Perkins (Dian); twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

A celebration of Jeanie’s life will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Pat Spinks officiating.

Burial will follow at Newkirk Cemetery in Jessieville.

Pallbearers include Matthew Weir, Justin Cotnam, Lucas Weir, Dalton Tignor, Nick Bugos, and Tommy Cotnam III.
