Obituary for Chester "Pooch" Tucker

Chester “Pooch” Tucker, 71, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2017. He was born January 14, 1946 in Pearcy to James William and Mildred (Harmon) Tucker. For over 40 years he owned and operated Pooch Tucker Plumbing and Pump Service. Pooch enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and NASCAR. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and a blessing to all who knew him. Pooch never missed a Mtn. Pine sporting event his grandchildren were involved in.

He is predeceased by his parents, grandson, Brendyn Clark, sister, Tammie Tucker, brothers, Carroll “Mouse” and Clinton Tucker

Loving survivors include his wife of 51 years, Evelyn (Long) Tucker; son, Jaime Tucker; daughter, Jennifer Guthrie; grandchildren; Roman Ramirez, Jami (Jon) Mark) Abbey, Tielyr Sales and Jayden Guthrie; and great-grandchildren, Reagan and Colt Ramirez.

Visitation is 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

Funeral services are 10:00 AM Monday, January 23, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Buddy Leamons officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jon Mark Abbey, Roman Ramirez, Tom Gould, Jr., Shawn Blees, Terry Blees and Mike Blees.

Honorary pallbearers are Pooch’s lifelong friends, Pat Blees, Ronnie Singleton, Jerry McGrew and Terry Dale Smith, Don Berry, The Blees’ families, Coach Charles Nevels and Mtn. Pine School District.
