Obituary for Charles Russell White

Charles Russell White, 84, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017. He was born September 28, 1932, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to David and Ruby White.

Charles received a Bachelor of Economics and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas. He was employed by General Adjustment Bureau, earning multiple service awards, and later established his own flooring business.

Charles was an avid traveler within the U.S. as well as trips to multiple countries. He was a longtime, active member and deacon at Park Place Baptist Church. At the time of his death, Charles was a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley White and his sister, Lottie Wilson.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and William Hurley of Hot Springs; son, Steve White of Chicago, Illinois; sisters, Donna Eads of Wappapello, Missouri, Betty White of Robinson, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with a celebration of Charles’ life immediately following at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Mike Smith officiating.

Memorials may be made to Breast Cancer Research and Garland County Humane Society.
