Carmalita Smith, 86, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away January 6, 2017. She was born July 16, 1930, in Corning, Iowa, to John M. and Dorothy E. (Keesler) Devereaux. Carmalita was a member of Oaklawn Church of God in Hot Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur W. Smith; daughter, Suann Germany; four brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include daughter, Lynn Miller (Paul) of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Ann Snyder, Gail Chinnock (Jason), Zach and A.J. Germany; great-grandchildren, T.J. Miller-Snyder, Katherine and Andrew Snyder; son-in-law, Kenneth Germany (Shelly) of Hot Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Carmalita’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Oaklawn Church of God with Pastor Terry Arrington officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice or Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
