Obituary for Bonnie Gean Bean

Bonnie Gean Bean passed away, Saturday September 30, 2017 at 8:00 a.m., while in the hospital. Bonnie was born June 23, 1940 in Mt. Pine, Arkansas and spent most of her childhood in Jessieville, AR where she graduated high school. There she met and eventually was married to John R. Bean (J.R.), affectionately known to her, on October 18, 1958.

She was born to Johnny Rice Carpenter and Gracie Helen (Guinn) Carpenter both deceased. She was preceded in death by sisters; Juanita Gali (Al), Kathleen Nation (George) and Evelyn Godwin (Waymon). Survivors include husband; John, sons; John David Bean of Mt. View, Jimmy Gavin Bean of Ft. Worth, TX; daughter Amy Buxton (David) of Hot Springs, sister; Hazel Perkins of Jessieville, seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

After marriage, she and her husband resided in Shreveport, LA where she practiced and taught Cosmetology and later in Texas, she was a bookkeeper for a national drug chain. Upon returning to Arkansas she was employed by Hot Springs Village Fuel Stop for almost twenty years, where she met and made a multitude of friends. Bonnie was extraordinarily gentile, caring, and loving person, family came first after God.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, at Caruth Village Funeral Home in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas with Pastor Larry McNeely officiating. Burial will take place at Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Tillery, Ricky Shores, David Buxton, Dillon Buxton, Joey Virnig, and Jimmy Bean.
