Obituary for Aleta Gay Gossage

Aleta Gay Gossage age 82, of Jessieville, AR went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, March 18, 2018. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on August 20, 1935 to Marion Elmer and Olis (Smedley) Cash.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Joyce Smith. Survivors include her two sons, Jerry and Richard Gossage of Jessieville, AR; daughter, Aleta Ann Gossage Swaim (Terry) of Hot Springs, AR; brothers Thomas Cash (Marcellyn) of Mountain Valley, AR and Jimmy Cash (Barbara) of Ashdown, AR; grandchildren, Dawn Briggs, Keegen Knapp, Cheyenne and Mitchell Gossage, Tonya Fuller; great-grandchildren, Shelley Rose, Tristen Briggs, Ellie Knapp, Tyler Fuller, Brianna Fuller; and two nieces that were like daughters to her, Lucille Dean and Kay Stewart.

Aleta was a faithful member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where she loved singing hymns and caring for others. She was a loving and devoted mother who worked hard, put others before herself and was the backbone of her family. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, sewing, dancing and gardening.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Caruth Village Funeral Home in Hot Springs Village. Life Celebration will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Shed Cemetery in Onyx, AR.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Gossage, Tristen Briggs, Keegen Knapp, Jimmy Bartoni, Adam Moore, Paul Moore, and Delton Brown.
