Ada Lou Owen passed peacefully from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on January 24, 2017. She was born August 12, 1933 to Sam and Mazie (Qualls) Anderson.
Ada accepted the Lord at an early age and was a Christian example for her family. She was a member of the Church of God denomination. She was a graduate of Hot Springs High School. After graduation, she became a telephone operator with the Bell System in Hot Springs; got married to Marvin, Air Force serviceman, who was stationed in Lake Charles, Louisiana. When they started their family, she became a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and a blessing to all who knew her. She loved her family, friends, and neighbors.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Owen; son, Tommy Owen; and brother, Delton Anderson.
She is survived by her daughter, Sammie (Troy) Grace of Hot Springs; granddaughter, Amanda (Michael) Taylor of Bryant; great-granddaughter, Ellery Hope Taylor; grandson, Nicholas Owen of Little Rock; and brother, Bobby (Brenda) Anderson of Hot Springs.
Graveside service will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR, with Pastor Conley Henderson officiating.
